Kalenderwoche 28: Den Großteil dieser Woche haben wir damit verbracht unsere Umzugskartons auszupacken und Möbel aufzubauen, damit auch genug Stauraum vorhanden ist, um die Inhalte der Umzugskartons wieder zu verstauen. Dieser Prozess ist noch nicht abgeschlossen und Fotos aus dem Haus gibt es, sobald der Eindruck des Chaos endgültig gewichen ist.

Bereits am Dienstag wurde durch Tele Media das Telekommunikationskabel zu unserem Haus verlegt. Wir haben uns sehr gut mit den Arbeitern verstanden und auch einen Einblick darin erhalten, wie so ein Kabel verlegt und angeschlossen wird. Leider handelt es sich nur um einen Anschluss mit einem Kupferkabel, das von einer bleiummantelten Hauptleitung abzweigt, die schon in den 70ern verlegt wurde. Von unseren Nachbarn haben wir aber glücklicherweise erfahren, dass die Telekom plant neue Glasfaserkabel zu verlegen. Insofern besteht Hoffnung auf eine zeitgemäße Anbindung an die Welt.

Die Telekom muss jetzt nur noch für den entgültigen Anschluss an das Festnetz/Internet sorgen. Telefonisch hat man uns beim Telekom Bauherren-Service signalisiert diesen Prozess schnellstmöglich abzuschließen. Das ist für uns besonders wichtig, da die Steuerung der Photovoltaik-Anlage, sowie der Heizung über das Internet erfolgt. Damit wir das Internet zumindest mit unseren Endgeräten schon nutzen können, wurde uns zur Überbrückung ein kostenloser Schnellstartrouter bereit gestellt, der tatsächlicht tut was er soll 🙂

Wir haben die Woche aber nicht nur im und am neuen Haus verbracht. Da wir am Freitag unsere alte Mietwohnung offiziel abgegeben haben, sind wir auch noch einige Zeit dort gewesen, um diese übergabefähig zu machen. Damit man uns auch am neuen Wohnort finden kann, haben wir natürlich eine Hausnummer an unser Haus angebracht und mit nachbarschaftlicher Hilfe unseren neuen Paketbriefkasten aufgestellt.

Am Samstag wurde uns bewußt, dass wir zügig mit der Erstellung der Außenanlagen anfangen müssen. Ein fast einstündiger Starkregen hat gezeigt, wieviel Wasser vom Deich her auf das Grundstück läuft. Das Wasser kann sich zwar nicht so hoch aufstauen, dass es in unser Haus läuft, einen Kanal um das Haus hatten wir dann aber doch. Mit Hilfe unserer Nachbarn und einer Pumpe haben wir den Kanal aber am gleichen Tag noch trocken gelegt und unsere neue Aufgabe besteht nun darin, das Grundstück zu erhöhen, um Überflutungen zu vermeiden.

Calendar week 28: We have spent most of this week unpacking our boxes and building furniture so that there is enough storage space to stow the contents of the boxes. This process is not yet completed and there will be photos from inside the house as soon as the impression of chaos has finally disappeared.

Already on Tuesday a telecommunication cable was laid to our house by Tele Media. We got on very well with the workers and also got an insight into how such a cable is laid and connected. Unfortunately, this is just a connection with a copper cable that branches off a lead-sheathed main line that was laid in the 1970s. Fortunately, we have learned from our neighbors that Telekom is planning to lay new fiber-optic cables. In this respect, there is hope for a modern connection to the world.

Telekom must now only provide the final connection to the landline / internet. By telephone the Telekom Bauherren-Service (client service) promised to complete this process as quickly as possible. This is particularly important for us, since the control of the photovoltaic system, as well as the heating is done via the Internet. In order to be able to use the Internet at least with our mobile devices, we have been provided with a free fast start router to bridge the gap, which actually does what it should 🙂

We have not only spent the week in and around our new house. As we have officially handed over our old rental apartment on Friday, we have also been there for some time to make it transferable. In order to find us at our new place of residence, we have of course attached a house number to our house and set up our new parcel post box with neighborly help.

On Saturday, we realized that we need to start working on our property quickly. An almost one-hour heavy rain has shown us how much water runs from the dike onto the property. The water cannot accumulate so high that it runs into our house, but we had a canal around the house. With the help of our neighbors and a pump we drained the canal that same day and our new job now is to increase the height of our property to avoid flooding.
