Kalenderwoche 14: In der vergangenen Woche hatte Viebrockhaus uns ja schon mit der fertigen Erdgeschossdecke und der Ankündigung des Richtfesttermins für Freitag positiv überrascht. Wir sind aber nicht davon ausgegangen, am Dienstag schon einen fertigen Dachstuhl zu sehen. Da wir am Montag die Baustelle nicht besuchen konnten, kann man sich vorstellen wie groß unsere Überraschung gewesen ist unser Haus erstmals in dieser Form zu sehen – Swantje wäre vor Schrecken fast mit dem Wagen von der Straße abgekommen 😉

Während auf der Baustelle in dieser Woche die Maurer die Ytong-Mauern im Dachstuhl und die Außenfassade weiter vervollständigten, haben wir das Richtfest geplant. Dazu gehörte es natürlich in kürzester Frist Familie, Freunde und unbekannterweise unsere neue Nachbarschaft einzuladen, aber auch den kulinarischen Teil vorzubereiten. Online haben wir uns schnell einen Überblick darüber verschafft, was so alles zu einem Richtfest gehört und einen Schlachtplan aufgestellt all die benötigten Dinge neben unseren beruflichen Verpflichtungen rechtzeitig zu besorgen. Dank Metro-Großmarkt (Essen) und Moorfleeter-Getränkemarkt (Getränke und Sitzgelegenheiten) und Swantjes Talent Geschirr und Gläser zu besorgen, ist uns diese Vorbereitung bis Donnerstagabend gelungen. Auch den von Swantjes Eltern geschenkten Richtkranz hatten wir zu diesem Zeitpunkt bereits erhalten.

Am Freitagmittag konnten wir dann mit unseren Gästen Richfest feiern und haben uns natürlich darüber gefreut, dass die kleine Flasche Korn nach dem Richtspruch in viele Scherben zersprungen ist und der Bau somit ein gutes Gelingen nehmen wird. Auch haben uns die vielfältigen Geschenke unser Gäste gefreut – tausend Dank dafür. Es war uns nicht nur eine Freude Familie und Freunden unser Haus im Rohbau zeigen zu können, wir waren auch sehr erfreut soviele interessante und freundliche Nachbarn kennenlernen zu dürfen. Wir können es  jetzt kaum mehr erwarten, im Sommer in unser Haus einziehen zu dürfen.

Calendar week 14: In the past week Viebrockhaus surprised us already with the completed ceiling and the announcement of the topping-out ceremony for Friday. But we did not expect to see a finished roof truss/structure on Tuesday. Since we could not visit the construction site on Monday, one can imagine how great our surprise was to see our house for the first time in this form – Swantje almost drove the car off the road when she saw this 😉

While the masons completed the Ytong walls under the roof and the outside facade on the site this week, we have planned the topping out ceremony. Of course, this included inviting family, friends and, unknown to us, our new neighborhood in the shortest possible time, as well as preparing the culinary part. Online, we quickly got an overview of what’s all part of a topping-out ceremony and set up a plan of action to get all the things needed – despite our professional obligations – in a timely manner. Thanks to the Metro wholesale market (food) and Moorfleeter beverage market (drinks and seating) and Swantje’s talent to obtain crockery and glasses, we were able to end our preparations Thursday evening. We also had the topping-out wreath (donated by Swantje’s parents) delivered in good time.

On Friday afternoon we could then celebrate the topping-out ceremony with our guests and of course we were happy that the small bottle of corn schnapps broke into a lot of pieces after the topping-out address and the construction will thus be blessed with  good luck. Also the diverse gifts of our guests have pleased us – a thousand thanks for that. It was not only a pleasure to be able to show our house to our family and friends, we were also very pleased to meet so many interesting and friendly neighbors. We can hardly wait to move into our house in the summer.
